In Nepal Recent Cyber Crime 

Two arrested for cyber crime

 

The Cyber Bureau of Nepal Police has arrested two persons on charge of assassinating  the character of a woman. The Bureau has initiated investigation into the case and one of the accused is also a policeman.

Krishna Kumar Yadav of Rautahat and Mohammad Kasim of Biratnagar were arrested under the Electronic Transaction Act 2063 BS. Both Yadav and Kasim were brought to Kathmandu for investigation. Yadav is a police personnel, posted in Dhanusha.

Yadav was accused of posting intimate photos of a woman on social media after making her a friend and continually torturing and threatening her. Kasim was charged with sharing intimate photos of the same woman to different persons by creating fake accounts on social networking sites.

Cyber Law In Nepal

Cyber law can be defined as the area of law that deals with all aspects of cyberspace, the internet and other internet-related technology. This is one of the newest areas of legal system. Cyber law in Nepal is called Electronics Transactions Act, 2063 which was created in response to growth of internet usage in Nepal during 2063 BS. It deals with commercial use of computers and criminalizes various computer related illegal activities.
